There’s a certain ease to Marco Grazzini. —Not in the sense that things have been handed to him—but in the way he moves. Grounded. Clear. Fully present in what he’s doing, without a need to overreach for what’s next. It’s something you feel immediately. Even when he talks about his early days—like sun-soaked commercial shoots in the middle of the desert—there’s no sense of ache attached to it. Just memory. Texture. Energy. “I absolutely loved it,” he says. “There was something about just being in it… not overthinking, not trying to control it. Just being free.” That word—free—comes up often. And it might be the most accurate way to describe where Grazzini is today.

A GLOBAL POINT OF VIEW:
Born and raised in Toronto to Italian and Filipino parents, Marco grew up surrounded by a mix of cultures, influences and perspectives that never quite fit into a single box. -And if you ask him, that’s exactly how he likes it. “I’ve never really identified as just one thing,” he says. “It’s always been a blend—a tapestry of different experiences.” That openness—being able to move between identities, perspectives and avenues of thought—these experiences have shaped not just who he is, but how he works. It’s what allows him to approach characters with nuance. To find connection instead of distance. To build from within rather than perform from the outside. “I think it’s always about asking, ‘Where do I meet this character?’ he explains. “Not how far away they are from me—but how close.” It’s a subtle shift. But it changes everything.
DISCOVERING THE CRAFT
Grazzini’s path to acting didn’t come from a singular, defining moment—it unfolded naturally, through curiosity and experience. At 20, he found himself in the Philippines, stepping into the world of entertainment in a way that was immediate, immersive, and creatively expansive. “It was everything at once—commercials, print, runway, live shows,” he says. “You just jumped in and figured it out.” And somewhere in that process, something clicked. “The freedom of it,” he says. “The ability to step into something different, to play, to explore… that’s what drew me in.” From there, the focus became clear—not in a rigid, mapped-out way, but in a sense of direction. A pull.

THE ART OF STAYING OPEN
Over time, he’s developed a relationship with his craft that feels both intentional and intuitive. He prepares. He studies. But when it comes time to step into a role, he lets GO. “You have to trust that the work is there,” he says. “And then allow yourself to just be in it.”
It’s a balance he’s refined over years—learning how to protect the creative space from overanalysis, while still honoring the discipline it takes to do it well.
“I’m a virgo by nature” he says of himself—precise, intuitive and quietly exacting—understanding his pull toward perfection. “Now I’m not as exacting as your Beyoncés and your Michael Jacksons,” he laughs, “but it’s in there.” Still, the evolution has been in knowing when to loosen the grip—when to trade control for instinct, and precision for presence. “The art has to stay alive,” he says. “That’s the most important thing.” That philosophy carries through everything Marco does—on set, in auditions and now, in his expanding creative pursuits.

BUILDING SOMETHING THAT LASTS
With Virgin River, Marco says he found more than just a role—he found a rhythm! The opportunity came in quietly—an offer, no audition, no theatrics. At the time, it was a recurring role, with no real indication of what it would become. “I was just happy to work,” he says. What followed was something much bigger. Stepping into the role of Mike—a former Marine turned police officer and longtime friend to Jack—Grazzini brought a grounded ease to the character from the start. Introduced through moments of camaraderie and connection, including early days shooting in Whistler—mountain biking, canoeing, and leaning into that “boys being boys” energy—the role quickly found its footing. “There was a real sense of community right away,” he says. “That made everything feel lived-in.” Over time, Mike evolved. What began as a steady, moral presence expanded into something more layered—moving through tension, relationships, and a long-running love triangle, before eventually revealing a lighter, more playful side. “One of my favorite seasons was when we got to lean into the humor,” Marco recalls. “There was more levity, more room to just have fun with him.” It’s that range—grounded yet dynamic, structured yet loose—that made the character resonate. But beyond the screen, it was the consistency of the experience that left the deepest mark. “Being on a show like that for years, you see how people really work,” he says. “The discipline, the preparation, the way they show up every day.” In an industry that rarely stands still, Virgin River offered something rare: continuity. A space to build—not just a character, but relationships, rhythm, and a deeper understanding of the craft itself.
LIFE IN BALANCE
Away from set, Marco admits he tends to gravitate toward simplicity. “The beach,” he says, without hesitation, when asked how he resets. “That’s it.” Living near the water in Vancouver, he’s found a rhythm that keeps him grounded—one that balances the movement of his career with moments of stillness. It’s also where he’s most present with his family. Watching his daughter grow, he says, has been the most profound shift of all. “She feels like a new person every day,” he confesses. “It’s incredible to witness.” There’s a sense, in the way he talks about it, that this chapter isn’t just about work—it’s about perspective. About being FULLY awake in the life he’s built.

EXPANDING THE VISION
Now, as Virgin River continues to stream & ever green fans continue to find the show, alongside his recent exit Grazzini is stepping into something new: writing. Working with a creative partner, he’s developing original scripts—shaping stories from the ground up and exploring a different side of his creative voice. “It’s a different process,” he says. “You’re building everything—world, character, structure—from scratch.” It’s also an evolution that feels completely aligned. “I’ve always been drawn to the refinement of story,” he explains. “Now it’s about creating it from the beginning.” There’s an openness to it. A willingness to experiment, to explore, to let the work take shape organically. -The same approach that’s guided him so incredibly well this far.

A DEFINITION OF LUXURY
Per our usual closing we happily asked “what’s your definition of luxury Marco”? “Luxury,” he replied, “is the ABILITY to follow your dreams!!” It’s a definition that feels earned—not because of what it excludes, but because of what it includes: Choice. Creativity. Presence. Possibility. And right now, Marco Grazzini is fully in it. Not chasing. Not waiting. Just moving forward—exactly as he’s meant to & honestly we cannot wait to continue to cheer him on!!!
